Hello everyone!
With this whole COVID-19 virus going around, I figured lots of people were getting things accomplished in the house. This thread is for everyone who has been gettin' things accomplished on their "housework" list!

So, what did you accomplish in the house today?

Got my baseboards cleaned! And also, when this started, I decided I'd see if I could learn A.S.L.

So far, I can sign A thru J.

I have two projects that I really want to accomplish: Organize my fabric stash; Take down the old drapery hardware and replace with new and new drapes (which I have had for about three years now).

Ditto! Just think of the gratification you will have when you stand back to look at what you got done... Nothing beats that feeling.

Very true. I just love a clean house. Especially when your kids help you, it goes by very fast!

I guess that makes sense, but the only child I have is the one that's my avatar photo... my cat, Tigger. I'm 50 and never had kids or been married.

That, and looking adorable. That's his job description. I don't know what I'd do without him all these years, but especially now.

Yes, pets really are adorable. I don't know what I'd do without Rusty or Honey. Honey is my cat (a female), and Rusty is my dog (a male, which I think you guessed). The reason why we call our cat "Honey", is because she has a golden splotch of color (or as we call it, "honey") on the top of her head.

I did get the old drapery hardware down and the new up, as well as the new drapes. Haven't started on the big window yet. Found out that the drapes I ordered are the same sage color but have different tone on tone patterns on them. Oh well, adds a design element, correct?

Robin, if you like it, that's all that matters. I'm sure it will look great! Post some pictures of the new drapes, I'd love to see your handiwork!

It is autumn here which means clothes get hung to dry inside the house. I have an old wooden clothes airer and a line that is strung across the living room in front of the fire but I hate having my undies on show for all to see. I rummaged around the barn and found an old cot/playpen (crib). I took the plastic corners off and added hinges to turn it into two folding airers. They can be trestles or leaning ladders against the sloping roof upstairs. They look great and they fold away for easy storage in spring.

Lola, that's awesome! I'm going nuts because I have not planted a thing in the garden. When I'm bored, anxious or just in a bad mood, there are 2 things I do in order to re center myself, and put myself in a better mood. One, is cuddling with my cat, Tigger. Two, is working in the garden & planting stuff. Those are very therapeutic for me. I won't go up to Home Depot for just one thing, if I need other things as well, that justifies going. It's just not worth the risk of getting sick. However, I have been practicing my sign language & fingerspelling. Making progress with the alphabet.

My daughter and son started learning sign language but my son @Johannian wanted to do Greek instead, so he's doing Greek.

But I know what you mean about being in the garden. It is very calming to me!

It is. I just focus on what I'm doing, and stand back, and admire what I've done. I'm pretty proud of this. When I first moved in, the patio was full of nasty spiders and crickets, and just didn't want to be out there. Now I enjoy going out there.
