I have a daylily that I am trying to pollinate the day before it opens.... I have done this on the last two blooms so it is still too early to know if I was successful.

Anyone else tried this with success...?

Yes, I know it worked for me on 'American Freedom' after many attempts after the bloom had opened had failed.

You certainly did... I just yesterday finished setting out the last of the seedlings from the seeds I received from you Thank You!
