Neat how it continues to keep the albo leaves.

I have a Neo Syncopate that looks like it will finally bloom. I couldn't find any bloom pics of it anywhere. I imagine it won't be very thrilling, but the leaf color is nice and red now.

Here's Mom! ID ideas?

Cute TT. Not sure on ID, there are quite a few with red centers, doesn't look like tips are red, my guess would be N. carolinae.


I spent yesterday really cleaning out some bromeliads, this one has had this pretty flower for a bit, I think this is probably peak of the inflorescence. xCanmea GALAXY Albomarginata


Also look what I found underneath a bromeliad leaf, so be careful when trimming back plants if you have Monarch butterfly weed, I had six huge caterpillars all week, but all are somewhere in the garden now, like this one.

Now I know it's a Neo. It never did have bloom. When I saw flowers they looked like ones in Scott's pic.
Does the Neo flower stay in the well, or vase, of the Bromeliad? Still working on "term"inology! Also, the upper leaves have more red color since I have it in more 🌞!

Alice, I do not take the credit for the growth rate. I left it with the mother plant and cut out the mother a week ago. Franca is a fast grower and usually matures and flowers within 12-18 months.

Well, you have to take a bit of credit, I used to have a Franca and the only thing it did rapidly was keel over.

Alice, sorry your Franca didn't live.

My Earth Star mom finally gave up!
After giving birth to few lil pups.
Two are thriving in their own lil pots!
Two with mom look like pale lil dots!

The 2 pups in pot with her are dry and pale. I gave them drinks! set pot in bird bath hoping they will survive!
I took the 2 potted separately outside in last week's rain. They appear to have revived. With our severe drought, I need to keep providing happy hour drinks!

I am excited to have my hands on this interesting variegated form of N. McWilliamsii. This is only a pup at this time with a 17" spread and will peak out around 30" when mature.


Spineless leaves for this large stolonifeious growing Neoregelia is a plus.

30", wow, I am trying to figure out where I could use somthing like that. It is such a beautiful bright clear color.
