Thank you. Here's my townhome's backyard. I'm facing west. This photo was taken around 6 PM in mid-May. The west part of the backyard gets sun in the mornings and into the afternoon. I currently have random plants in the garden, and a wildflower seed mix is growing. I'm game for ideas on how to tackle this long, rectangular raised bed. One idea I'm playing with is putting trellis/s along the bed's backside. I'd need to be sure the flowers don't grow onto my neighbor's fence.

This looks like to be an ideal spot! The sun seems to be right for many different types of plants. I'm thinking it would do for tomatoes and peppers if you like veggies. If you're into flowers, echinacea and salvias would do well, and if you're looking for a climber, there are clematis that don't get too tall. Clematis would need their bases mulched. I'm thinking your zone would be similar to mine, and all these plants grow well here. For annual flowers, try zinnias, cosmos and marigolds. These flowers, along with the salvia and echinacea, will attract bees and butterflies.
