I got this beauty in trade, but it must have been mislabeled.

The Historic Iris Preservation Society is great for identifying historic irises. If you click on "Gallery" then "Photo Gallery" you can search for irises by several criteria including the colour of the standards, falls and beards.

Thank you: I think it's Autumn Rosemist: https://www.historiciris.org/l...

A rebloomer, too! Score!

Try to obtain an Autumn Rosemist from a reputable seller and grow it near your unknown. Then you can do a detailed comparison/confirmation. Bluebird Haven, Voss Iris, and Black Ridge have all had it.

Might be "King Tut"...

* https://www.historiciris.org/l...
* Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'King Tut')

or "Rameses" - photos vary a lot... some have this more pink-violet in the falls...

* Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Rameses')

or maybe one of the other 70 derivatives from King Tut:

Whichever it is, it's prolific--I've got 8 buds on the one stalk, three have bloomed already, two are blooming now. This is only its first year blooming here. It's close to three feet.

Happy to have it, hope to learn its real name. I sent an email to the person I believe sent it, but haven't heard back yet.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/ I bought this Iris as Mulberry Rose, it isn't but could it be Acacia Rose? On this site the pic is not anything near the same as Historiciris.org site pic

Here's a better picture from wiki.irises
https://wiki.irises.org/TbAthr...

and one I found on a thread.. I'm guessing it's a cellphone picture as they tend to be color enhanced..
The thread "Merian Gardens in Basel (Bâle) Switzerland" in Irises forum

Different lighting, age of bloom, and cameras all can make a difference in pictures... But you're right, the one in our database looks very different... I don't grow it, so I can't say that it's wrong..

Just for fun here's what it looks like this year (second year after transplanting). Colors are softer and blooms much bigger.
