Please apologize if this is the incorrect forum thread. Could anyone help identify this bulb or mother/pups? Found in an old outside flower pot. Can't remember what it could possibly be. Any ideas greatly appreciated as a I am stumped. 😆

They look like they could be Daffodils (Narcissus sp.), but that species should have leaves by this time of year.

Are there any roots emerging from the bottom of the group?

Could it be a clump of Eucomis- Pineapple Lily? Although, if it spent the winter outdoors in Illinois I doubt they would survive.

It looks like they could be starting to form a few roots. Otherwise it's just a Waking little mass.

Oh my gosh! I think you hit the nail
on the head. I completely forgot we had a pineapple lily last July from a funeral arrangement in our home. Roomie did not want it outside for sentimental reasons. It ended up staying indoors until February'ish. Under his care indoors it eventually shriveled. I thought he most liked killed it & threw it outdoors to deal with later. I forgot I repotted it for him. Wow! the root/bulb structure on it is huge!

Glad I could help! I grow several varieties of Eucomis so thought it looked familiar. They get bigger and better over time.
