This thread is dedicated to Peachlily, and Welcome! Its so nice to have you in this wonderful, friendly group! You'll find lots of fellow daylily haters-turned-lovers here ... I think we may be the most hopelessly, and happily, addicted of them all Rolling on the floor laughing ("puhleease enable us some more! hhehehhee)

So that others can use the search function to easily find the pretty peaches you conjured up with your heartwarming story, here's the link to your thread. The thread "We have a new member to say hello to!" in Daylilies forum

I'm hoping that posting this additional "peach" thread will just catch some recommended photo/names of great peach daylilies for you that otherwise might be missed; perhaps even including the one that you have and which you are hoping to learn its name - just a way to fish for as many peach-owners as possible :hearts:

Oh Tina!
How wonderful!
I was lost in the Orange thread with my mouth-watering addiction!
Thank you for starting a Peach Thread!
I had no idea there were so many lovely "peaches" out there.
This so much fun!
I think I am going to be in big trouble here! But fun trouble that is! Rolling on the floor laughing
What a sweetheart you are!

Wouldn't that be a miracle if my Peach Daylily lives AND we are able to identify it?
All the lilies in her garden had metal nametags....just 5 had been lost. This one was lost.
But I plan to keep it alive and hopefully learn to make it thrive!

For two weeks I have been drooling over peach colored daylilies and searching the AHS database and sellers sites too.
Low and behold, last night I found the Oklahoma Daylily Society had just had a Daylily Sale very near me...and I missed it!
Arrrghh Glare
I was just 5 days too late!
Isn't that tragic?
Anyway, is a wonderful place and I thank you all for your pictures and your kind words of encouragement.
:)

I don't have much that is peach colored. Some of my oranges are soft colors and I posted them on the orange thread. After looking through all my pictures, I have more peach than I thought I did.

Trudy, you might try your search using the term "melon" instead of peach. Also, have you seen any polychromes? They are a blend of colors that I think you would like. One that I can think of off the top of my head is Little Rainbow.

For me peach is a difficult color because it's a blend of pink and orange. But here are some that were a light peach color over the last year.

Aw you guys are killing me! These are all so pretty. I'm going to short out my computer drooling all over the keyboard. Hilarious! I stated in the chat thread that I was staying away from these threads until we build our house & I can turn my head to the gardens & daylilys. I knew I couldn't handle this when I can do nothing about it right now. but now that I've begun looking I can't seem to stop myself. How will I ever make it until.......

Yes, Betty, peach is a difficult color. Some days certain daylilies look pink, some days more peach or melon colored. Dot posted photos of Grandma's Ruffled Curtains. Here is a photo where it looks more pink.

Wow! I am enthralled with each and every one of them!
This is exactly what I wanted to see...Thank you so much!
I am starting to understand the coloring is different in light and shade and light pink and creams can look peach. I've branced out to look at melon, apricot, citrus, and I will look at polychrome too. That's really cool and I adore your pictures! You guys have so many gorgeous treasures!

Some of them are too good to be true!
I think I could have a whole garden of these!

I think I just got approved on the Lilyauction site too!

Rolling my eyes. Drooling

You guys take fantastic pictures! Even better than the sellers sites!

Hi, Trudy,

Welcome! : )

Here are a few more peaches/melons or polychromes; the last have peachy/melon tones. I do have to mention that some are described as being pink by the hybridizer, but just north of San Francisco in my garden, they definitely are not showing pink tones. I hope that you let us know what you tones you find in your garden!

All the best - Elizabete

I found my idea of the perfect Peach!
Only because this is the one I stole.
Eureka moment tonight at 1:30 AM!!

Been searching for almost 2 years for the photo or name that matches my stolen peach!

And here it is~~!!

Prescott Park (Valente 1999)

The parents are Elizabeth Salter and Lips Like Sugar

I KNEW there was a reason I liked Elizabeth Salter so much...it was the closest thing I could ever find to the perfect peach... Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

That's because it is her Mother!!

Oh it's fun to solve a mystery!

Tonight I started looking at Selfs...thanks to the suggestion that I look into other colors for peach hues. Well, to me this wasn't a self because it has yellow and green in the throat...so I dismissed Selfs altogether in looking to identify my peach.

I'm 100% sure this is it~!!!

So thanks guys I couldn't have done it without you~

Isn't that the Prettiest Flower you ever saw?

It is to me~!! Hurray! Hurray!
