Thread OP

Our 13 year old pear tree's leaves are all covered in red bumps of some sort and are dropping like crazy. It has never happened before or at least not to this extent.

We think it is a Bradford Pear although it has never had a bad smell like they supposedly do. It is the only one we have in the yard. When we purchase the sappling we were told it would produce fruit, but you have to plant a second one about 25 yards or so away from it for it to produce. We never planted a second tree.

We want to cut it down, but would really like to understand what's going on with it before we take it out.

Thank you so much!
