It kept chipmunks and birds from eating the veg and flowers in my container garden, and it protected my tomato plants from the rabbits and the woodchuck. Not that these creatures couldn't chew through the tulle if they tried, but it seems to discourage them on contact. A bolt of green was about $14 on EBay.
