I was wondering what type of rose bush this is? I know it blooms pink flowers. Thank you in advance!!

Looks to be a Rugosa of some sort. Post more pictures when it blooms.

Also, moving some of the rock away from it might help as well. The rock will hold the heat from the sun and it could eventually cause the plant to burn.

Yes, MBN, move the rocks. They add interest, but they heat up the place.

Don't be discouraged. Cut off the dead wood and make a circle in the rocks to dig some nice soil in and you'll see a nice rose next April...if not sooner.
