A slow increaser with low bud count in my garden, but each flower when opens blows you away with its beautiful color, white midrib, and circular blue eye. I would not want to be without this beauty! As an evergreen, it may not do well in zones colder than mine.

The first year I bought this plant I was very happy when it bloomed. The flowers were exactly as described and did well at maintaining color and substance as our heat inched up into the mid 90's and beyond. The 2nd year it came back a weaker plant and did not flower. The 3rd year I had to transfer what remained into a 4 inch pot, where it slowly faded away...........I paid too much for this plant, but if the price ever comes down to a bargain basement level I may try it again. The flowers that first year were truly unique and beautiful............Maryl

I installed PP in May of 2022, from Northern Lights. It actually bloomed from June 6-17 with three blooms, among the earliest in my yard. I'm sure it was still on the Greenhouse schedule. This Fall, she was at two fans, up from the original one and had contracted no rust. What a great flower! So intriguing!

2023…Pinwheel Princess had three distinct bloom periods this year. The first was from July 7-13 with 3 blooms. The second was from August 11-26 with five blooms and the last was September 10-17 with 3 blooms. Obviously only a few buds per scape but that was a total of 11 flowers. She had also grown to 3 fans from two by October. I think she is tolerating my climate but not thriving.

Here's one from July
