we came from here:
The thread "Our September 2012 Orchid Blooms" in Orchids forum

Temperatures are cooling down around here and my Orchids are back in the greenhouse, except for those needing the cool snap to bloom.

My Cleisocentron merrillianum surprised me with a second blooming this year, I am not complaining. Tiny blue blooms!

Cattleya aclandiae bloomed this Summer and now again. I love the beautiful scent on those. It is mounted and has really long roots.

I had bought the Ascda Ratchaburi Beauty this Summer and this is a first blooming under my conditions. I am happy, I love the nice flat blooms.

Kathy gave me this cute Cleisostoma comberi, it is flowering for a while, but I never got a good close up of the tiny blooms.

Domingoa haematochila is another easy bloomer

Pelatanthera insectifera shows these cute little blooms for several weeks this time of year.

We cross-posted - Do you mean you have both color forms on the same Miltonia plant?

You have a lot of great blooms this season, Carol!!

There is a great show going on here. I am just back from 3 days of classes and lots of camaraderie with other Master Gardeners. I'll need a day or so to review all of the posts but I did find one new bloomer upon my return. The tag on this orchid says Onc. Butterfly (Onc. sanderae X papilio). I think that may be wrong as I can't find any thing like that when I search. To me the flower looks like it has some schomburgkia in it. What do you think?

I agree, it does look a lot like Schomburgkia to me too. Beautiful blooms!

Bree, it is still a gorgeous bloom, I love the fat pouch!

Best part of going away is coming home - especially to new things blooming! That's a pretty one, whatever it is Jim.

I bought that orchid from Paul Phelps so I will stop at his place tomorrow and ask about it.

Ursula, beautiful start to the new thread. I especially like the yellow Ascda. and the Domingoa.

Carol, you are doing so well in the dry heat. Congratulations! I envy your Miltonias; wish I could grow them. I also like the C. Walkeriana.

Bree, if I could grow a slipper that nice I would be thrilled. Love the fat pouch.

Mystery solved. I just went out and pulled the pot off of the shelf and found another name tag down in the bark. This one says C. Bicolor 'Lines' AM/AOS X L. undulata. That makes more sense. I must have returned the Onc. Butterfly tag to the wrong pot.one night when the wine was especially sweet. Shrug!

I will post the fully open picture when the Ascda is fully open. I am happy I picked it up! The blooms are of good size too.

Better name Jim! I am annoyed since I seem to have an awful lot of tagless plants this year and I wasn't even enjoying being under the influence! Grrrrrrrr.

I hate those garden gnomes..that take or exchange tags under the cloak of darkness!
Some new photos of blooms from this week. I'm still seeing slug damage on some of the
flowers, which is almost as annoying as the stealthy garden gnomes..
