Good morning,

Does anyone know where I can purchase this Iris, iris4u says out of stock and so does Iris Sisters Farm. I do not find anyone else who carries this one.

Thank you,
Carla

Carla,
I have looked too since mine bought last year and bloomed this year doesn't look like it has put out any increases.
It is only the main rhizome and bloom stalk.I think it may not make it.
I looked through all the vendors listed and their selections with no luck.Seemingly, everyone who had it is sold out/not open this year
It is my favorite iris!

We can ask if anyone on here has any Adoree for sale they are willing to part with, or know a source to purchase from?

It's a pretty reluctant grower, so that's why vendors don't always offer it for sale. I lost mine last summer after many years of just putting out one or two increases per year.

Perhaps, a better bet would be to ask about and see what irises are similar to Adoree but are better growers.

Adoranova. one of it's offspring, is similar, and grows a bit faster. I'm not sure how available it is though.

I have Adoree growing in three different beds. I'll check on them later today and let you know.

Edited to add:
Just checked on them and here's the results.
Bed#1- Was planted by the cow fence and has vanished. I'm thinking the cows ate it, as they have eaten a few others. Most of the irises there were rooted well enough to not get pulled out of the ground....while others were not. I say were, because the cows are no longer there for the year.
Bed#2- Has only 2 small increases on the rhizome that bloomed last year.
Bed#3- Has 4-5 baby carrot sized rhizomes. I do not recall seeing this one bloom, so I can not confirm it's truly Adoree. I'll have to go through 1000's of photos to see if I have a photo of it.

I can part with 2 rhizomes of Adoree from Bed#3. I'll try to confirm it, but if I can't, I want you to know ahead of time that it may, or may not be true.

Edited to add:
I can confirm through photos, that Bed#2 and #3 are Adoree.

@UndertheSun

I would love to give it a try, are there any particular iris or colors you are looking for? I would gladly trade or purchase Adoree from you.

Adoree has been a poor grower and bloomer for me as well. I don't think the stems ever got much above a foot tall.. Another of its children, 'Chasing Destiny', had done much better.

I have not seen my Adoree since its maiden bloom. It has gotten crowded out by Mary Frances and Ask a Lady which are more prolific.

So it's good to hear that it wasn't just me having growth/bloom issues with this iris. That's why I put it in three places, to see if it would grow in different beds (full sun, partial shade).

Sherry ,
It just so happens I have "Chasing Destiny" on this year's orders I just discovered.
I am sure it reminded me of Adoree when I ordered it.

I am sorry to hear from everyone that Adoree is not a good grower. As I said, I don't think mine is going to make it.
However,I want to keep trying to grow it because it is my favorite iris.
In fact it is my phone's wallpaper .At least I get to look at it's picture all the time! Smiling
