Pretty tree but it is poisonous. In south Florida, when I was growing up there, people would snap off branches to roast marshmallows on. They became r-e-a-l-ly ill.

Yes, every oleander is poisonous. When my son was 2 and a half years old one time, he licked the sap off of a stem. I was freaking out. I called poison control but they said as long as he didn't get gobs of it, he was going to be fine. I was surprised he didn't get sick at all.
