Hi I have two Kumquat trees,, we had strong winds in the uk 🇬🇧 and all the leaves have now come off... what should I do ? Are they dead?anything I can do ? Shall I bring them indoors ? Please help thanks

Can you post some photos? Strong winds should not have taken all the leaves off your Kumquats.

I imagine the soil got too dry during the wind causing the leaves to fall off. The container is not very large and only half full of potting soil. Keep the roots damp, the leaves will grow back.

Thanks @Daisyl. You mentioned the container was only half full and not very large.. should I put more soil or repot ? Thanks for your help

If you can gently lift the root ball and add soil underneath, that would be perfect. Don't add any soil to the top of the root ball.

PS: Tip the container on its side to slide the rootball out without disturbing it. Add soil to the pot and place the rootball back on top.
