This mop head is over 50 years old. Over the past couple years I've managed to cure its Leaf Spot problems but now it isn't blooming as vigorously as before. Hopefully it will return to its former glory.
UncleWill... 50 years old wow who says peonies are one perennial that live the longest. Come to think of it most of mine are 25-30 yrs old. They are just in their prime... lovely 😊 drangeas . They never fail to explode with a pop of color . It looks great no signs of fungus . How do your treat it?

rose1656.. So many blooms on all your pics. Mine are way behind yours.
They are all just "STUNNIN"...
I've never seen the Gatsby Star, so unique and bright white . I can see them in dried arrangements or wreaths for the holidays.

Wow, that is one big Ruby Slippers (compared to mine)!
The variegated ones enjoy a tad less sun in the mornings to look their variegated best. Just a notch less. I tried a Mariessi Variegata... and a Sun Goddess but had to transplant it and it died in its new location as I forgot to water it! Woops! However, I concluded I preferred the look of the variegated bushes more... as opposed to the look of the bushes with blooms. The blooms just rated "eeeh" from me. As a result, with SG I started pruning the blooms early. They do need the soil "as evenly moist as you can" to thrive. I want to try `Little Honey` next.
I had Little Honey, but it didn't do well for me. My variegated one is right in the middle of one of my hosta gardens so it gets very little sun.
Did you know that Ruby Slippers makes babies? I let a friend dig up several starts this spring. I don't really want them spreading throughout my shade beds. I'm hoping that Gatsby Star will do the same. I'd love to have more of those in my yard!
When all is said and done, there’s more said than done.
Interesting, none of my hydrangeas has ever propagated. But Annabelles tend to spread via suckers in some areas. I wonder if a branch/stem layered under mulch and developed roots.
Yes they stem layer quite easily if part of the stem is buried under soil keeping moist. Once the first two leaves have formed disconnect from parent plant and pot up or plant in garden. Taking care to not new plant dry out.
Check out Tafys blooming hydrangeas post. She starts them from cuttings and has great success propagating the biggest blooms.

Bea. I pruned off the infected portions and opened up the center for better air flow. (Probably why it's not blooming so well) The plant did all the real work.
springcolor said:Great thread, here are some of mine.
springcolor...
Each one of these guys pictured are lovely. The second and third pic have different color leaves and unusual shape leaves and unusual color on blooms. The third pic is the brightest blue I have seen in a long time. I bet they would make beautiful color dried in the house over winters or make beautiful Xmas wreaths.
I would sure like the names of them if you happen to know . They would make a great addition added to my little collection.
