I have a gap in my garden for a golden leaved shrub and by coincidence one of my neighbours has just the plant. Except I haven't been able to positively identify it. I thought it would be easier as it has toothed golden leaves, white flowers around half an inch across, and it's extremely fleshy and vigorous for a shrub - all very identifiable traits.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Was that Hydrangea spelled wrong? Then I agree

Ah yes, that looks exactly the same. Looking at pictures online, I may have been thrown off the trail due to the owner of the garden pruning the plant extensively each year. It's a much rangier plant when left unpruned.
