Hey! If anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it. I have this brush growing in my backyard that has a very strong herbal scent and is incredibly soft to the touch. I think it might be some sort of wild sagewort but I'm not sure so I wanted to ask really quick!

Welcome!

Yes, some sort of artemisia. Is it a volunteer or did you plant it?

It's a volunteer! We have a bunch around here that have popped up around the house. It smelled so good and was so soft I collected a little to dry. I'm new to the gardening thing so I wanted to make sure it wasn't dangerous. Thank You!

I second Janine's suggestion.

We have a few pieces that were stowaways with some plants we brought from my aunt's place in Montana. I'm really glad I didn't yank them on reflex. 'Hope you enjoy them, too. And, oh, yes, welcome neighbor!
