A friend gifted me several pots of agapanthus and calla lilies. Can I plant them now in summer or leave them in the pots, let the foliage die back and wait till spring to plant? Thanks so much!

I believe 7B limits you to digging up bulbs in the winter, regardless. There are a few agapanthus cultivars that are hardy for zone 7, if your gifter happens to know. I grow mine solely in pots, wait for cooler temperatures and die- back, and store until spring.

All plants she gave me are hardy in 7B. I think I'll let them die back and plant in the spring. Thanks for replying
