A friend gifted me several pots of calla lilies and agapanthus. I know these are hardy in my zone (7B) because I have some doing well. I am not sure when I should plant the ones I recently received. Is it safe to plant them now? Should I let them die back in the pots and plant in the fall? Should I let them die back and wait till spring to plant?

Thanks so much for any advice,

Judy (BabyLou)

here (zone10) calla is a winter plant, it grows and bloom in winter, and stay dormant (mostly ) in hot summer month. I beleave that in your area u can try to grow them in pots in summer, and them keep them above freezing in the basement.
