Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Chasing Shadows')

To be 22 years old Chasing Shadows is a very morden looking tet. I really like the veining, lovely eye, and green throat. Scape height is around 40 inches in my garden and makes doing crosses a breeze. It is fertile both ways and sets pods fairly easy. Very much worth adding to your collection if you don't already own it, but I'm not sure how hardy it is. Hopefully someone from up north will chime in and let us know how well it does for them

I found CHASING SHADOWS to be hardy in my zone 5 garden. I had it for many years. It made the trip from MD to NY. Scape height is about 30 inches and bud count was 10 to 12. It increased well. I moved it to a less prominent spot in the garden to make room for some newer plants. It has done well since being moved. I have never tried to hybridize with it.
