Hello from Texas!

I live in Texas and have been collecting Tom Burseen irises for a few years now. I am always looking to add to my collection ones that I have either lost or that are still on my "want" list. If you have any Burseen irises in your garden that you would like to sell or maybe trade for please post them here. Thank You!

Hi Stephanie ~ And Welcome! back to the Iris Forum. Leslie has quite an extensive collection as well. @Lestv

I only have a few, but I am unable to dig them right now. Last year I broke my ankle, and while the ankle is almost healed, there is something wrong with the other leg and I can barely walk, with considerable pain. Hopefully this all will be cleared up by next year.

Feel free to look over my list, and I will put a "hold" on the ones that you want. Most of them are still quite young but should be ready to trade in a couple of years.

Thanks Evelyn, Thank You!

I am glad to be back to the Iris Forum. I tore a tendon in the arch of my right foot last summer and was in a walking cast for about 8 weeks and it is still bothersome when I am gardening if I don't wear the right shoes with support. I have kinda had the same situation as you in that changing the way I was walking bc of the torn arch tendon has caused me to have chronic knee pain on the other leg. I still get out there in the yard to weed and try to keep my beds clean but it has been much tougher after my foot injury. Getting older is definitely not for the "faint of heart." lol

I will check out your and Leslie's collection of Burseen irises. Thanks for responding to my post! Smiling

Yikes! Stephanie, we're "twinsies"! That pain is no fun at all. I worked outside for a little while, and now I am paying for it. Still, no digging for a while, though. Sticking tongue out

Do you think it was because from walking in "the boot"? I am thinking of suing the other doctor, but of course they have expensive lawyers!
