I grow this plant in TX & MI. Actually bought this in MI and hauled it to TX. Have had in TX several years. Small and short but clumps readily, it has been divided several times and moved a df back to MI a couple of years ago. Very pod fertile and have some bloomed seedlings × Little Witching Hour. Don"t recall using the pollen.

These are all my pics of a small, red, reblooming NoID given to me by a friend in Virginia Beach. It was in the yard of his former house when he bought it.

Most of the time, the blooms are on the edge of coral-red. They look bi-tone much of the time, much like the pictures posted here so far.

Stats-wise, it matches Little Fat Dazzler. What do you think of the pics?

Some of your pictures have the same surface "bumpiness" as mine, Ken. I would say you have found your NOID id, although you can never be certain.

I've had Little Fat Dazzler for a few years now. It has not done well for me at all. BUT, it is planted in an extremely hot, dry area (with little supplemental water) very close to a NOID daylily that is a bully. It has remained a double fan for me which is saying something in those conditions. I imagine it would do much better in a different location but being on the small side I really don't have another place to put it where it will get enough sun. At some point I need to make a bed just for smaller daylilies because I have a few now that need to be moved away from more vigorous neighbors.

I call it seersucker-ing. I see it on Big Time Happy, too.

And yaaaaaay for the likely ID. I'm rolling with it.

Had this one up here in zone 3, Manitoba for years. Always did well for me, with good healthy foliage. Don't have it now, and I can't remember why??
