found in scituate, RI, leaves look sinillar to that of a maple, but its not a maple. has long thin thorns protruding outward from upper trunk and branches, similar to that of a barberry. this one is small, possibly naturally dwarfed, but ive once before seen one 6 or 7 ft tall.
