My New Vintage White Yarrow, Rozanne and Orion Cranesbill, all Iceland Poppies, and Blanket Flower, along with several small rose bushes and clematis plants vanished over the winter. Are animals eating them or their roots? Flowers did not seem to want to bloom this spring and summer - not roses, nor even Moonshine Yarrow. The new SpinTop Blanket flower and daylily plants never seemed to adjust; never bloomed again after having been planted. New Vintage Violet Yarrow bloomed, but mostly in pale pink, not violet. I use YumYum Mix for plant food.

Are animals eating them or their roots? - It could be. You will have to test that though by extracting any dead roses or plants and looking at the roots (or lack thereof if eaten). Could it be something else? Yes, winter cold temperatures, lack of enough humidity and very high sunlight levels, windy conditions and-or soil properties.
