Mr Skeffington did really well here its 1st year 2019, multiplied a lot and tons of blooms. I had to move it early in the spring because of work we had to do on the deck. We have a raccoon who loves to dig up newly planted daylilies in the spring, and he did a really good job on this one. The plant was shredded, but I thought the roots were going to be ok. It started coming back, then faded and died. I think it is normally a very vigorous daylily though, worth having in your garden

I have it out front in full sun and it performs ok, this past year it did not have Bud count and branching but a lot of mine did not. I have grown more fond of orange daylilies and Paul Owen has several avaliable now and all being good performers in my gardens most years with good plant habits

I grew Mister Skeffington for several years before passing it on to a friend to make room for some newer Paul Owen plants. I like the color scheme on this one. It's kind of a take on a more common color combination for daylilies. In person, though, it really had a look all it's own. It looked very nice, especially around other daylilies of more traditional colors.

I got the stated height, and the branching and bud count were catching up, but more like mid to high teens when I gave it away. It certainly did well enough for a large, ruffley Tet in a Northern garden as far as I'm concerned.
