Tonight's the night!

All of that madness, the exhilaration, the will-I-get-it.....it all starts tonight!

You win some and you lose some, but in this thread, let's share your favorite WINS!

You might be a little bummed you missed out on something, but in here we are going to focus on the wins and get excited for each other ( Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! ), because we all deserve some fantastic wins this year, right? I don't know about all of you, but I feel we can put a big splash of positive energy to the end of 2020, and so I'm looking forward to hearing your excitement about what top favorites you managed to snag in the swap each night! Lovey dubby

I don't know what's going on, but I can't dib nothing, the buttons are just not there. I cleared my cache restarted the computer, reset the network. I have a feeling this is going to be a money loosing situation. Any way you can kick me out and I send the seeds to the people that dibbed my stuff directly. I would hate to send out hundreds of seed and 18 bucks to get absolutely nothing.

Aside from some error messages during the initial mob-fest for seeds, I think I did pretty great as a newbie!

I'm delighted with my "wins" (dibs) THRILLs of the night: A yellow columbine (fave), Bells of Ireland (Moluccella laevis), a nifty coneflower cultivar. Hurray!

It looks like people are finding my stuff, 4 offers picked up - & counting... I tip my hat to you.

Is there a way to view your tickets? When does the swap start again tomorrow?

Fun stuff!

Darn it, I missed the start so I didn't get my top picks. But I nabbed a couple of the dwarf tomatoes which is the main thing I wanted.

Even with the technical hiccup, I'm thrilled with the whole shebang. I think my most exciting dib of the evening was @DianeKM 's scarlet bee balm. Hurray!

I got my top 3: Wapsipinicon Peach, Thornburn's Terracotta, & Red Centiflor tomatoes. While I missed out on Dancing with Smurfs, I'm stoked on these 3 and the Giant Marconi pepper

I agree Even with the technical glitch, it turned out just fine and ended up with the great seeds! I'm probably most excited about pistil's Creeping Fuchsia and Hammer's Black Beauty tomato but there's so many other's that I'm really excited about. Smiling Smiling

Even though I didn't get to dib that scarlet bee balm. Hilarious!

I needed nothing in this swap but to rehome seeds I have been over accumulating through purchase and trade. Once I had a ticket, I dubbed a packet of DnD's basil Mammolo and then a small bok choy. I am looking container and raised bed gardening in the face in my "golden" years.

Despite the hiccup I was able to get some great heirloom vegetable strains that I have had on my radar for a while. This was my first seed swap ever after collecting seeds for 6 years. I think I found a new hobby! Very excited for next years growing season to test all of these out. Thank you to the host for organizing this. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Thank You!

Lol, going off topic a little here...

First - your wish list can NEVER be too big!
Second, now that you've been through one night. Here's a tip for managing your wish list. People do it all different ways. I prefer to star everything as a 3 star to start. Then before before the nights round begins, I go through my list, I'll move the things I really, really, really want to 5 star. I limit it to about double the number of tickets we'll get for the night, cause I know I won't get everything, then I can quickly move on to the next when one of my choices is out. After dibbing for the night I'll take the stars off the ones I won, as well as if I starred the same thing from multiple people so that I could be sure to get at least one. If anything was out, I'll move that to a single star. Sometimes people replenish their stock if they see everything is gone. I can check my one stars right before before trading to see if anything came back.

Hope this helps some of you be able to come up with a system that'll let you get to your seeds further down the alphabet. I tip my hat to you. Big Grin

Add me to the out of control wishlist. But I flag all tomatoes I don't have (for example) then rank them. I have no intention of claiming 100s of varieties, but having all of them flagged makes it easy to look over them.

Oooh, I really like your system, Karen. I'm a super nerdy spreadsheet kinda gal, so this level of organization is right up my alley. Thumbs up Thanks for sharing!

Got one of the dahlias, some snapdragons, & a couple of the gourds. My sister in law moved in with us & has gotten interested in gardening, so they'll be part of her stocking stuffers.

As for what I got, I'm SO GLAD maulwurf joined back in. There were several carrots listed that I was able to pick up. Also got a couple of tomatoes to add to my collection.
