This Is My Home!

This was an ordinary seedling daylily which looked promising back in 2008. I was surprised to find this tiny frog had already staked a claim.

What a lovely banner, with a nice combination of the sweet, green frog and the pretty pink daylily. I tip my hat to you.

Great banner.

I'd guess that it is ingrained in our culture. The prince kissed a sleeping beauty; the princess kissed a frog - who then became a prince. Ergo, frogs are culturally seen as male at first glance. That's my theory Hilarious! . Leon can tell us what he thought since he saw it up close and personal.

Well said. Plus, it's green and bumpy with bulging eyes, and is hiding while I do the dishes. 'nuf said.

TBGDN said:Thanks everyone for the thumbs & acorns! You are all so very generous! Thumbs up I bet this little frog never dreamed it would become an attraction on ATP. In summer I run into these little guys almost on a daily basis, but somehow this one impressed me in its little "nest" atop a daylily. Here is another view of it and the daylily. The last one is a different frog. I am amazed how small they are.

Thanks everyone for your inspiring words & comments. And thanks Cal for posting the above pictures. Waking up each morning here in summer is never boring; there is always something new and interesting. Our focus in our "senior" years has been to grow trees and plants which attract a variety of birds, insects and other pollinators. We had not counted on tree frogs, however they add a lot of interest. Here are a couple more examples.
