I am also curious about that spectacular hedge. That has to require some artistry to keep trimmed in such a manner. Goodness, that has to be a ton of work!

Yes, that's our famous Hedge of burning bush. My husband R keeps it looking spectacular with a trim every June that takes about 2 weeks because he insists on doing it with hand shears, not powered ones. it's about 30 years old. The idea for the archway was mine, but the execution is R's. it's become a neighborhood landmark; people say "go past the house with the hedge...." or "I'm about 3 houses from the house with the hedge."

OH, and that's NOT my house in the background. That's a big 2-story farmhouse across the road from my ranch-style house. Used to belong to our friends Don & Elsie, but recently purchased by a younger couple.
I am not "country" I am "landed gentry."

Spectacular is right!!!! I can NOT believe he does that with hand shears. Blinking Blinking

Much kudos to R! Masterful, absolutely masterful!

Whoa!

It's no wonder it's a landmark.
