From what I've read, this is not all that common and they mostly end up reverting to all green. But I think it's pretty neat looking. One of my first seedling X seedling crosses.

That is very neat. I hope its subsequent fans are variegated, too!

With my Variegated Kwanso clump, I keep an eye on it and remove any all green fans, and it has stayed variegated for over 25 years.

Thanks, Valerie. Is there any problem with variegated foliage and sun tolerance?

I have mine in a part sun, dappled shade location, so I don't know. I grow mine mainly for its foliage.

I hope someone else knows the answer to that Crossing Fingers!

Very cool. I hope the variegation sticks around for you. I'm not sure what the odds of that are, but it can't hurt to root for your plant to hang on to the trait.

Yes it is neat! I too hope your variegation sticks. Lovey dubby My variegated Kwanso also grows in part shade.
God blessed me with dirt.

Variegation seems to be showing up more and more often in many people's gardens. Even if they revert, it's "in there" waiting to be developed in another generation.... or ten. I get very excited to see it but unfortunately, all the ones I've had have reverted. Mike Derrow has some interesting variegated seedlings.

I heard 'Ida Mae Norris' throws that gene too.
God blessed me with dirt.
