I live in California. A few weeks ago, we had unusually freezing weather. My outside elephant ear plant did not do well at all. The leaves wilted and the stems drooped. Each day it gets worse. Can you advise what to do?

I would just leave it be for a couple weeks, I'm sure the roots are fine, you may lose the leaves above the soil line but since they haven't turned black is a good sign. She's a beauty.. Other members will have more advice :nodding:

Thank you Christine for your advice. I'll keep an eye on her and check back in with the forum if the leaves turn black or if things in general don't improve. Appreciate it.

Some of those leaves look frozen and won't recover if they haven't recovered once the temp got back to normal. You can cut them off. I bet it will put out new leaves though.
Plant it and they will come.
