I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Region: Pacific Northwest Region: California
my neighbor gave me this and i'm not sure i have figured out what it is
my best guess so far is Calla Lily (Zantedeschia aethiopica 'Green Goddess') ???

It is a Calla Lily and it does look like Green Godess, but wait for a new flower before you decide for certain. The flowers age odd colors. In your zone, it will happily take over your yard.

Yes, they do like water but they don't necessarily need a bog. Just keep it well watered.
