As you can see, by the fact that all of those pics are mine, I love this plant. It's one of the sturdiest, happiest daylilies I have. I bought it from the Seawrights, sometime in the aughts and it has lived happily next to the house until this year. MS was one of the plants I moved after the giant oak fell on my deck on Mother's Day last year. She is now lower down in the same garden and didn't miss a beat this year. I have never divided MS, but she still pumps out the flowers over a long period. Super reliable, high bud count. I'll try to get some stats this year.

Alnilam with what I suspect is an Alnilam/ Margaret Seawright cross right behind it ( they were right next to each other for at least 15 years

Margaret Seawright has been in my northern garden since '16. It was a very cheap purchase at $2.50 a double but I have been somewhat underwhelmed by this cv. It is slow to increase here and is still a small clump 4 years later. The color has improved in the blooms as it has matured but the bud count is not impressive--9 bud count on 2 way branching. It does reach the registered 24". I do like the coloring so I will leave it alone where it sits.

I had it a L..O..N..G time ago, and wasn't going to say anything, but I wasn't impressed with it either.... Sorry!

Maybe I have a lot of buds, because I have a lot of fans...I'll have to check that out this season. But I've never divided it and it still blooms fine.
