My Mom bought me a 'Birkin.'

I also got a new little 'Birkin'. Got it for half price because I found a couple aphids on it. Got it home and gave it a bath. I have it isolated in case a few more appear, but so far so good.

I just got this in a trade today....Anthurium lutheri. I have it in the mist terrarium with my Cutucuense. Wish me luck LOL. It came originally from Ecuagenera in Apopka, the guy who traded it to me had them bring in a few for him and he decided to trade me this one

Well all the talk on P. Birkin, I've been seeing them around, prices ranged from $50 to $19, passed them all up, but then I was at Walmart and saw this one for 13.99...I had to get it, mostly it looked healthier, larger and better than any I've seen this past month.

I see two plants in that pot.

They do seem to be cropping up a lot right now. I've been seeing them in larger numbers lately, averaging $30-50.

I added another Anthurium to my collection. I couldn't resist.


I'll get a picture of the entire plant once I have it settled. I do need to get it into a heavier pot. It's incredibly top heavy. It was HUGE compared to the rest it was displayed with, but was still the same price.

Its spathe almost looks big enough to be an Anthurium obake type but to my knowledge there are no fully red spathed ones. Their trademark coloration is green and red or green and pink. This is one I got many years ago as a trade. You don;t see them around much anymore...I'm not sure why. You used to see Obakes every once in a while in nurseries.

I picked up this little cutie in a trade today....Anthurium 'Silver Blush'. Just a bebe but will grow into a lovely plant

TK, that's a big one, Gina love the pink coloring, and Silver Blush will be a nice looking plant, never seen that one before.

This red but not as big as yours TK.


And this one NOID bought at Walmart back in December, they start out a maroon brown, then turn dark almost black, and eventually very dark green.

I have seen that black one before online. That was a 'new' one a few years ago and was selling for $40+ online. Glad to know that they are in the mainstream now
