Cranberry Cove is another plant that I have had up by the house for many years. I had long ago forgotten what it was, but when the giant tree fell on the deck last May, I moved a bunch of daylilies out of the way so they wouldn't get trampled during the deck rebuild. Conveniently, the original name tag for Cranberry Cove was buried with its roots and still looking remarkably fresh 15 years later.

Anyway, Cranberry Cove is a nice Daylily. It's not really exciting but it has a pleasant form and color. It's pretty short here, not getting up to its registered 28". I'll measure it this year, maybe now that I am feeding and watering everything, I'll get better results. It is the sort of flower that plays well with others and acts as a nice foil for lots of other colors.

My neighbor Leila has this daylily.
Not only people give others signs, but plants do too.

Cranberry Cove had a pretty good season. Beginning June 20, running to July 18, CC produced at least a flower a day and usually up to three. Around here that counts as E/M. There are only a few things that bloom earlier in my yard.

2022, great year for Cranberry Cove. Bloomed from June 27- July 22, almost a full month with over 35 blooms. There are too many fans in the tight clump to count.

2023 update…an ok year for CC, not quite as strong as last year. It bloomed from July 5-19 with 22 blooms.
