Wow. My list is basically just a few Agastache and a Persicaria or two this year. I will probably add to my list though. LOL. I always do.

Nice nice nice!! I'm waiting to see what is available locally. I may make a run down to HCG this spring, it's not too terribly far (only about 5 hours) and I'm planning on visiting my parents down in NM anyways. I've already pretty much blown my plant budget already on ordering roses from Palatine & Roses unlimited. nodding

Thanks! Hurray! Green Grin! Love all your Salvias you offer! I'm like a kid in a candy store! Thumbs up

Kermit,

I'm going to transfer 35 acorns, so you can get 7 different badges. Gotta have these badges: Salvias, Hummingbird, Butterfly, California, Container Gardener, US Flag and Annuals or any 7 you want! Smiling

To get to the badges...

Click onto your Profile at the top of the mail page, then under Your Actions:, then you'll see » Manage your microbadges, click that and scroll down to where you see » Browse and add more badges, click that and you can 'purchase' 7 different badges from the list. They're 5 acorns each and with the 35 I'm going to give you, you'll be set! Thumbs up

Toni,

HCG is only restarting their mail order business, I don't think people can walk in and buy plants from them. I'd check ahead of time (after they finalize details) before driving there.

Toni,

They closed those two stores up when they closed up late 2012 and I didn't think they were opening the stores back up.

From their message on their website http://www.highcountrygardens.... I'm pretty sure they're only going to restart the mail order part.

Marilyn - That sounds awesome. I really want to try 'Ava' this year. I have that Brakelights Red Yucca and love it. It blooms longer than any other red yucca I've grown. It put up a proliferation on the bloom stalk like Daylilies do sometimes and I rooted it. I've got 4 Brakelights now. It never produces seed pods so it keeps on blooming like crazy all summer.

Wow Clint!

I got one Brakelights from HCG last year, but the rabbits keep chewing it (flower stems and leaves). I think they only left one short flower stem late in the season. I hope it does a lot better this year and gets bigger and they leave it alone. Thought I'd get another one. Wished I had gotten another one last year when they offered them for half the $25 price late in the season. I'll have to look for proliferations this year! Your pics of it are gorgeous! Lovey dubby

I already have Ava, Blue Blazes, Desert Sunrise, Coronado Red and rupestris. I've grown cana before, but think I lost it. Hope this one I'm getting does well.

The 20% sale that they have goes through Feb. 20 or it ends on the 20 and I wanted to take advantage of it! Thumbs up

If you're going to order from them soon, now is the time to do it! nodding

Well, my MIL, who orders a lot from them, told me on Saturday that they had gone bankrupt back in December (she was making a list of new plants for Spr 2013 shipping). I told her that I just was on the website the day before (Friday) and was looking to see what to order. Still planning on going by one of their stores on the 3rd if I have time when I come through Santa Fe.

EDIT: Just got this in my email!

Toni,

Read what Susan on the Perennial forum "Good Sources for Perennials. Part II" is saying regarding the discount before you try to use it for plants.

Marilyn - Yea, saw it was for preplanned gardens. But some of their preplanned gardens I would order individually anyways. But as Susan put it, they'll have another code next month. Smiling
