I grow both Upgrade and Purple Cheetah. For me, Purple Cheetah is a better performer, but Upgrade has more consistently cool blooms. Thus "Upgrade", I guess.`

It took a long time for me to they Upgrade going. I think maybe I just got a single fan. It was a bonus plant, so I wasn't complaining. I was lucky to have it. But after my 2nd summer without scapes, I moved it to another location, and it has been going much better. It gets sun almost all day, but the garden has more competition that the one it struggled in. So try more sun if it's struggling for you.

I don't have a current picture of it. Here's one from when it was in the garden that wasn't making it happy. I'll try to remember to update this thread when it blooms this summer.

edit: I should point out that the other garden it didn't like, it was right next to Purple Cheetah which grew there extremely well. Go figure.

I have not had much luck with this one yet, will probably be moving it again to see if it helps because I like the blooms and generally Jamie's plants generally do good here

Upgrade has been in my garden for 5 seasons. It gets full sun all day. I divided it last year {5th season} so it does increase at a moderate rate. However, here, the height of scapes is only 28", much shorter than registered. Also, bud count is only 8 with 3 way branching compared to the registered 22x4. The bloom is consistent and the size is the 6"' registered. I like it well enough to keep it but I am disappointed in its stats here

I received Upgrade from MP Flowers in September of 2023. I planted it in Lower Upper Bed, kind of a shady spot, I hope it does ok there. It is starting Garden life here with 6 fans.
