I don't think you will get a response from the OP. It does not appear that they have posted since May 2019. Sad

I'm not sure the plant pictured above is the same kind of palm you have. Are you referring to the one in this discussion?:
The thread "Palm ID and Care" in Plant ID forum

A call to the store that sold your plant could help. It would not seem ungrateful to ask the person who gave it to you where it came from so you can call and get more info about it because you love it so much. : + )

The person who had/has the plant above was in India and it is not the species usually called "Areca palm" in the US.

Areca Palm (Dypsis lutescens)

Because it has such large fronds with such a short trunk, it makes me wonder if it's a majesty palm, but I really don't know. So many palms are so similar.

Majesty Palm (Ravenea rivularis)

The smaller ones can be more difficult to ID because the presence or lack of trunk may not be obvious yet, and there are no blooms to observe.

Hello Mardel!
This is my first post in almost 2 years.
That palm I have is called Areca Palm here in India as well.
The plant is growing well in the balcony, which receives medium light (I think it's a North facing balcony). I water it when the soil is completely dry, and I water it thoroughly until I see the water coming out of the pot from the drainage hole underneath. I fertilise it in 1-2 months.
It's an easy plant to grow. Doesn't ask for much, atleast with the climatic conditions here in India.
Good luck! Thumbs up
