Can anyone help me save and identify this bonsai? Not sure what's wrong with it. Would be helped to know what kind it is also Sad

Not sure what it is (more and closer pictures might help someone recognize it) but as for what's wrong with it, is it getting enough water?

I can't see the leaves clearly enough to tell what kind of tree it is but I wonder if the issue might be lack of sufficient light and water.

I agree with lochroma, I'm not sure its alive. Do a scratch test: scratch the bark with your fingenail (or other blunt knife sort of thing, you just want to nick the bark). If the tissue under the bark is green, its alive. If its brown or hard, its dead.

If you find green, check soil moisture. If its wet, you may be overwatering. If its dry, water. Move it to a sunny window and wait for new leaves.

In the meantime, pick a leaf or two off the tree, lay them on a piece of white paper and take another photo.

If its brown or hard, save the pot. Its a pretty one.
