Oof. Jades are so top-heavy. I've never outright broken a pot but I have a jade that fell out of its pot about four times before the root system grew enough to hold it in place. Grin Luckily it was tough enough that it only lost a leaf or two, and hardly skipped a beat after that.

I think everyone that has ever grown a jade for any period of time has dealt with this. They usually recover nicely from their impromptu repotting, even if they lost branches in the process.

The big variegated jade out front got blown off it's 3 foot tall stand about 6 months ago. The pot shattered and I was sure it was done for, but it didn't even break a branch.
I have found that coffee, tea, and rose can all agree on one thing... water everyday.

Awww, hope it wasn't a special pot Usually when a plant of mine looks like that it's because I dropped it or the wind took it down outside.

They are sturdy plants for sure!
Not special. A terra cotta pot that Bigbox uses.. I liked the semi squat proportions though. I have another. But might choose something else. It's all good. I love potting.

I think a curious cat has something to do with this. Whistling
Plant it and they will come.

thanks!
It was lucky in the tumble, to not break a big branch. Spends summer outside in shade, once in a while drowning rain D'Oh! and is granted my sunniest window in winter Thumbs up
