Have any of you ever pruned your pepper plants in order to develop larger roots systems? He shows you when and how, but you have to go part way through the video.

We've never pruned our peppers, but I can see why one would do it. I'm going to try it on some of ours this year and see how it goes!

I am definitely going to give it a try. I might prune one of each variety and leave the others to grow naturally. Just to see the difference. I am really intrigued by the idea of how this works.

I have never cut the stem like they did. I do pull off the early blooms to help the plant start. I like to think it helps anyway. I wonder if you have to cut it that low or just top it?

The only pruning I do is when a branch breaks off from the weight!

Me neither. I never thought it was done. Now I don't even prune my tomatoes unless a branch grows out were I can't deal with it. So I don't think I will be prunning my peppers.
