I have a plant with beautiful flowers in my yard, and I don't how it got there!
There's a slim possibility that it sprouted from gift seeds that I sowed many years ago, but I no longer have the packet because I gave up all hope that any would germinate. In addition, I never sowed the seeds in that exact location.
I'm hoping that an ID will help jog my memory!
I live in zone 7. The plant started blooming about a month ago and is still blooming.

I agree, lovely Greater Masterwort (Astrantia major) and perhaps a bird "gifted" your garden with the seed. Smiling

Thanks Lin and Jennifer!
It's good to know what it is, although I still have no idea how it ended up in my yard.

Seeds may have blown in from a neighbors property or deposited by birds. Green Grin!
