Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Bragging Rights')

I got this one last summer and it hasn't bloomed yet. I'll post when it does.

I received Bragging Rights as a bonus from Floyd Cove last spring. I initially pot planted through the spring. I ground planted last fall and it did not come back this spring.

I received three fans from Floyd Cove as a bonus also last year in March. It put on quite a show and the color of the blooms seems to vary quite a bit.



This year I don't think the plant has even sent up a scape, but it seems to have been busy creating new fans, it has over doubled so far as seen in the photo below.

Now I guess it is just a waiting game to see if it actually does send up a scape and bloom this year. The plant does seem to take some time to settle in.

I received Bragging Rights from Floyd Cove in May. It was planted in a Sunny location in the South Island bed. It looks like it's doing well and sent up a scape and a rebloom scape. I had about 10 flowers and it was still blooming yesterday, September 8.

I received Bragging Rights in the spring of 2021 but no blooms as of yet. for next summer.

2022 update. BR started October 2021 with 5 fans but was down to 4 by April. This October it was still at 4 fans and had a bad case of rust. There was no rebloom this year, so a shorter bloom season from July 17- August 1, producing 19 flowers. Still, the flowers are usually jaw dropping. One of my favorite appliqués in the yard.

Finally got blooms

2023 update…no bloom and losing fans, Bragging Rights ended at three fans. Not looking good.

I received Bragging Rights from a seller, 2 sad fans, rhizomes had been sliced off, just a few roots. It did survive and bloomed next year on about 20"scapes. A few lovely blooms. It has gone to 4 fans this spring, hoping for a nice bunch of blooms this year.
