What a beautiful pic of a beautiful bloom wonderfully surrounded by more beautiful blooms!

The Iris in this pic are blue on my laptop and purple on my work computer.

In real life, I would describe the markings of the other iris as violet.

It's name is Weird Science and the hybridizer described the markings as purple in the registry, but as red violet in his catalog. I guess it depends are where you think the line between purple and violet is.

Fascinating, and thank you! All I can say is my interpretation of blue HAS been questioned. He said my Salvia farinacea was purple and I was talking myself into seeing blue until he said that. It's taking more effort now. : + )

I was mostly reflecting on the difference in rendition on the 2 devices for the exact same pic.
