I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
I've never been successful with dormants but planted a couple last year that I really liked. They performed beautifully.

But here we are in mid June and not a hint. My real estate is limited so wondering if I should give them a chance ti resprout next year or get something else, Lord knows my wish list is loooong.

Some of my non returners are _________ and Tall Blonde

I dont have much luck in my dormant intesive care area. If they come back they always seem to be smaller. I noticed I did have a few dormants last year that came back but it was especially cool here. I did get My Favorite Martian this year knowing it a dormant. I really hope its going to buck the trend. I did works its pollen, just in case. Allowed it one pod. Hard not to pick those pods and peek.

If there is no sign of life at this point, they are probably toast. You can always dig them up to check if anything is there.
Life is better at the lake.

After I posted, I went digging around the tag, and a third DL was trying to sprout. I got the feeling that maybe it was under too much mulch, I guess I be will snoop around some more. Will report here. Dang it! I need to stick w/E or SEV

Lavender blue Baby is the one dormant that has done well for me. It has increased from 2 fans to eight and blooms consistently every year for the past three. I'm in hot humid Georgia and dormants just don't perform well for me.
