I know most of my local butterfly caterpillars, but I don't remember noticing this pink one before. A moth?

Yes, it's cute and all, but what it does to Petunias isn't. Spray with Bt and save your flowers.

I'm pretty sure this forum is for ppl who are interested in IDing the insects they find. If someone wants to eliminate such insects, there's a forum titled Pests and Diseases. This is just a copy and paste from dave at the top of Insect and Bug ID forum:

Right. An ID was my goal. Even if I liked this particular Petunia, I would not be perturbed. If they become too numerous I can handpick them off.
