Nice large-flowered earlier cultivar, with strong color and good substance. Often reblooms.

I have had In The Heart Of It All for many years, and it has always done very well here. Always reliable bloom in a nice shade of deep pinky lavender and a nice green throat. I used it in several crosses this year, where I normally don't. I just like it for being very hardy. I haven't ever lost a plant, and have split it several times- including this year. I can't comment on branching and bud counts because I have already pulled scapes, but I seem to think that isn't overly ambitious for me. I just like it for a reliable show, and the green throat makes it pop. I don't recall that it reblooms either, but I may have just forgotten?? The fact that it has outlasted many of its contemporaries shows that it remains vigorous and healthy, and the flowers don't fall into the category of "dated looking". Just a wonderful garden performer.
