Some of you know me already. For those who dont. I once grew about 130 arilbred iris due to a bad divorce I lost my garden. Later she said come get em. I was able to recoup roughly 30. After 6 years I'm still trying to ID them. Trouble with that is bloom can be finicky so it hasnt been a great success. I am seeking arilbred iris from the Mid 70s to mid 80s. I have found some here. Because we dont get notifications here that is very slow as you have to pray they might come back on someday. I there fore started this thread. To attract those growers who might have or know someone who has such. I'm nearing 60 and would love to get back to hybridizing them. I know I ask a lot. I just hope someone can help because only the strongest ones survive in commerce. This is a last ditch effort to find them. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Smokin Heights in Australia has some for sale to Australian customers only. Their catalog might be useful to id the ones you have.

Are you looking for exactly irises you had or would be OK with newer ones?

I am confused because you wrote that you would like to get back to hybridizing. If you want to hybridize, it is probably better to do that with newer ones, as they are preselected for their shapes and performance.

I am looking to expand my Aril and Arilbred collection too. If anybody has something to offer - please, let me know.

Older I dont consider the new 1/4breds arilbreds. They have a pumila spot not a signal. I can get the same thing crossing 2 SDBs

Same here Grin

Bluebird Haven Iris Garden or Blue J Iris might be possible sources. Maybe Superstition Iris Gardens or Seandel Iris Gardens. The Shady Spot might have some, but I don't know if they are selling anything currently.

All closed I been looking there . Intend to go back next season. Blue J has some. They actually have a long list. Just not a lot of what I seek. They are predominantly 1/4 breds. Thanks for the in put. I'm currently checking with people from Nrw Mexico. Just not getting a lot of responce. Thanks again.

I am sorry that so many of your irises were killed.
You may try Ardi Kary in Scottsdale AZ

I don't know what all they've kept as far as half-breds from the old days, back when dad was hybridizing, but it might be worth asking Shrug! or not

Well dang, sorry to learn that too.
Check with Seandel--she's got a lot that are not regularly listed and might be willing to put you on the list for whenever there is a spare rhizome.
ASI just had the seed sale and I picked up a few to try...
