I grew this one for several years, loving both the form and color, and because I know the Roberts family and know red headed Nathan, Ned's grandson for whom this daylily is named. I made a valiant effort to grow this one and probably held on to it longer than I should have, because of sentiment. But alas, this Daylily just was not happy in this climate, would always come up late and bloom sparingly. Would recommend this if you love the form and color to zones 7 and higher climates. Zone 6 and lower, no!

I have it in 7b[old]/8a[new] where, after a couple of iterations, has yet to bloom. Glare I bought it from an 8b [new] location where it supposedly bloomed well. I'm out of space and just about out of patience...was hoping it did better north but I guess not. Sad
Life is better at the lake.
