We have a few but not really a serious menace. I grow lots of bromeliads and we have multiple fish ponds but still not a large invasion of mosquitoes. Mosquitoes range from 1/2 inch to 2inches, like hummingbirds. When they poke you its like getting vaccinated with a phillips screwdriver. When you need a blood test you just stick you arm out and then bag the mosquito and send it to the lab.

We seen an occasional centipede, very large roaches and black ants. Centipedes range from 1 inch to 8 inches, roaches can be 1 - 2 inches. No snakes.
